Copied from the Hays Daily News of 7 Feb 1968: "Mary Amanda Roda Mrs. Mary Amanda Roda, 49, 1331 Felten Dr. died at 6 a.m. today in Hadley Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient the past month. Mrs. Roda was born Sept. 25, 1918, in Mexico, Mo. She was married to George W. Roda on Nov. 25, 1940. She was preceded in death by one son, George Douglas Roda, on July 31, 1962. Survivors besides her husband of the home include another son, Larry Roda, serving with the U.S. Air Force at Williams, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred McDaniels of Sunray, Tex., and Mrs. Ruth Brockman of St. Louis, Mo., and two brothers, Francis L. Ellis and Payne Ellis, both of Laddonia, Mo. Funeral arrangements are pending at Deines Funeral Home, Russell. Interment will be in the Russell cemetery."
