Note: 1. Copied from the Mexico Ledger, 16 Nov 1990: "Elsie M. Ellis Laddonia -- Elsie M. Ellis, 83, of Laddonia, died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, Nov. 15, 1990, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico. She was born and reared in Kansas and taught school there before she moved to Missouri. She had resided in Laddonia since 1942. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Laddonia Baptist Church, where she was an active member and had taught Sunday School for a number of years. Officiating will be the Revs. Tom Barnhart and Marvin Jones. Burial will be in Laddonia Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: J.B. Galloway, Guy Thompson, Gene DeTienne, Leland Breneman, Bill Woolfolk and Roger Motley. Visitation at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Laddonia will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. A Rebekah Lodge service will be conducted at 6. Mrs. Ellis was a member of Rebekah Lodge No. 842 of Laddonia. She was born in Cunningham, Kan., on March 5, 1907, to William F. and Mary Fitzgerald Dyche. On June 2, 1935, she was married at Russell, Kan., to Francis O. Ellis who died June 15, 1981. Surviving are two sons, William O. and Robert F. Ellis, and a daughter, Norma Lee Ellis, all of Laddonia; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
