Note: 1. The following was copied from the 22 Jul 19ll obituary for Barbara Lee (Ellis) Jamison. "Death of Mrs. Lee Jameson Mrs. J. Lee Jameson died at her home one and a half miles north of Fulton at 2 o'clock Saturday morning, after an illness of several months of cancer of the stomach, and in her death the county and community loses a good woman who will be sadly missed. Having no children of her own, she and her husband had done much good in caring for orphans who were left without home and raised and educated several. Her maiden name was Barbara Lee Ellis and she was born near Boydsville Sept. 10, 1832; married to J. Lee Jameson in 1861. She lived all her life in the neighborhood where she was born until the last few months, when they moved to the farm bought of A.M. Miller, north of Fulton. She was a member of the Methodist church at Miller's Creek, and her funeral will be conducted from that church at 11 o'clock Sunday morning by the pastor, Rev. R.F. Davis." 2. The MO Certificate of Death for Barbara Lee Jamison lists her death as caused by "disease of the liver." 3. The will and estate papers for Barbara Lee (Ellis) Jamison list many of her heirs; brothers, sisters, half-brothers & sisters and their children. These papers are good family references.
