ELLIS' FUNERAL ON WEDNESDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Clanton Ellis, who died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, will be held at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jewell Null, at 403 South Clark street, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Dr. David K. Pegues, pastor of the Mexico Methodist church, will conduct the services, and interment will be in Elmwood cemetery. Those asked to serve as pallbearers include Clyde and John W. Ellis of Molino, [Octive] Ellis of Laddonia, Jess Burton of Auxvasse, Rouse Gallop and Harry R. Day of this city. Mrs. Ellis was born on December 9, 1868, at Reform, Callaway county, the daughter of William Henry and Laura Alkrie Clanton. The family moved to Audrain in her early girlhood, and she spent most of her life in this county and in Mexico. On March 18, 1886, she was married to Ira James Ellis, at Molino, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Methodist church. Mrs. Null and two grandsons, Keath Null of Newark, Oh., and P.J. Null, Jr., of Mexico survive. A son, Clanton Ellis, and a granddaughter, Eleanor Jane, also preceded her in death." SOURCES INCLUDE: Missouri Death Certificate #7237. .
