Note: 1. Copied from a Muskogee, OK newspaper clipping of Jan 1981: "Mary A. White Mary A. White, 92, a resident of Muskogee since 1911, died Friday night after a long illness. Arrangements for a Monday morning funeral will be announced by Lescher Funeral Home. The family prefers memorials to First Presbyterian Church or Shrine Crippled Children's hospitals. Born at Thompson, Mo., Oct. 28, 1888, she had been a teacher at West Junior High School and Muskogee (Central) High School for 45 years. Before moving to Muskogee the White family lived several years in Iowa where Miss White attended high school and college in the Oelwein area. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.V. White and the sister of the late John H. White of Muskogee. She was one of the original residents of Kate Frank Manor and had lived there until about two years ago when she moved to Heritage Home. She was an active and longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church, Order of Eastern Star and Delta Kappa Gamma, a charter member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, a 60-year member of Daughters of the American Revolution and served as regent of the organization in 1974-75. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. C.C. (Lena) Beers of New Jersey; and several nephews and nieces including Jack White of Muskogee, Lois Beers of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Mary [Wiggins] of Piscataway, N.J."
