Note: 1. Copied from Miller County Obituaries: "Martha Ann (McFall) Brockman The Eugene community was saddened Sunday morning, Sept. 4, when they heard that Ms. J.S. Brockman had passed away [at] 5:45. Mrs. Brockman had suffered a paralytic stroke Friday morning about 10:30, but had appeared to be better on Saturday, and her friends had held hopes for her recovery, and Sunday morning she passed away without a struggle almost before those around her realized that she was so low. Three daughters, Mrs. Lena Jolly, Mrs. Nora Carrender and Miss Dewey Brockman and son, Herbert Brockman have preceded their mother in death by several years. Besides her aged companion, who has been in very poor health for four years, she is survived by two brothers, John and Willard McFall, of Eugene, and a sister, Mrs. Wm. Bell of Etterville, a large number of grand- children and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn the passing of a fine, loyal mother and friend, who was lovingly known as Aunt Martha Ann to all. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday the home by Rev. A.L. Alexander of Eldon, with interment in the Tuscumbia cemetery beside her departed children. Mrs. Brockman united with the Tuscumbia Baptist church many years ago and retained that membership and faith until her death. They moved to Eugene about six years ago from Tuscumbia, having lived around Tuscumbia the greater part of their lives. Mrs. Brockman was willing and ready to pass on as she felt she [had] accomplished her mission and work which she always met with a smile, and we feel that she would sayd: "Then if I live or die, I have no cause to cry. God's way is best, so let me rest. His love is quite my own, my love to Him is known. Assured my Savior's tender care whatever be my fate. So on with tranquil feet I go, His will to meet." The Eugene community extends its most sincere condolence to the bereaved family in the loss of their best friend, a loving, sacrificing mother and wife."
