Last name spelled as MIZERER. 1880 census resided Frankville Twp, Winneschiek Co, IA, with wife.20 Oct 1856 - Christopher purchased 600 acres of land in Madison Twp, Winneshiek Co, IA. Seller signed the deed at Sandusky Co, OH. 16 Feb 1857 - sold 360 acres in Madison Twp and buys 2 town lots in Frankville, IA. 12 May 1857 - sold an additional 80 acres in Madison Twp. The deed listed his residence as Allamakee Co, IA, which adjoins Winneshiek Co. to the east. 30 Nov 1857 - sold 160 acres in Madison Twp. The deed listed his reidence as Winneshiek Co. He sold this same tract again on 15 Feb 1858, suggesting the original sale fell through. Elizabeth Mizener signed a quit-claim deed for the same land on 14 Feb 1862. 1 Sep 1879, Christopher and Elizabeth signed a deed selling a triangular area in Frankville, IA, that they purchased on 13 Oct 1870. 7 Apr 1882, Christopher signed another deed selling the same tract so the original sale must have failed. Christopher described himself as a "single man" so Elizabeth had possibly died sometime between the 1880 census and Apr 1882.Marriage record found on LDS film #5066l7.
