  3. Perhaps he was working for a mining company when he met Mary in Ruabon because Ruabon, Wrexham, Wales is a mining town. Ruabon church is St. Mary's.

  8. In 1891 Thomas Eccleston is a boarder in the household of Darby Rooney (a miner) in Wellington (near Nanaimo).

 In 1901 he is living with another coal miner from England who is actually from Ince-in-Makerfield which I believe is not too far away from Radcliffe.

  12. 1861 Census I think Thomas is here:
 Thomas Eccleston 1841 born Standish with the James Jackson family. Living on Park Hill in Rainford, Lancashire. He is a coal miner.
  13. According to Bill Eccleston (per Gladys Chatburn) he was often away for work and made a middle class salary as a contractor (for sinking mines).
