MARY POWERS Mrs. Mary Powers , 73, a native of Sinsinawa, Wis., but a resident of East Dubuque the last 35 years, died after an extended illness at 2:30 Friday morning in Mercy hospital. She was the widow of William Powers, who died in 1927. The body may be viewed after noon Saturday at the East Dubuque funeral home, from where services will be held to St. Mary's church in East Dubuque at 9 o'clock Monday morning. The Rev. J.J. Hackett, pastor, will conduct the services, and burial will be in East Dubuque cemetery. Mrs. Powers was born at Sinsinawa on Jan. 5, 1874, and moved to East dubuque 35 years ago. She belonged to St. Mary's curch, the Altar society and the Rosary society. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Oris Risley, East Dubuque: three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Rosemeyer, Miss Mercedes White and Mrs. Joseph F. Meyer, all of East Dubuque: one brother, John White, LaCrosse, Wis: and 11 grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Edwin Powers.
