Note: m the Reedsburg (Wisc.) Free Press, dated January 12, 1922, it reads as follows: OBITUARY Montgomery Lois Ann Loyd was born in Lake Co. Illinois, June 27th, 1837 and died at the home of her son, O.P. Risley in Lime Ridge, January 10th 1922, aged 84 years, 6 months, and 14 days. On March 8th, 1854 she was married to John W. Risley. Of this union 8 children were born, all having preceded her in death except one son, O.P. Risley of Lime Ridge, Wisconsin. In 1873 she removed to Sauke County, Wisconsin where she has resided almost continuously until her death. In 1887 she was married to George W. Montgomery, he dying in January 1911. She was given care and comfort through a long illness in the home of her son where she was a patient sufferer tilll death released her. Card of Thanks We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the kind neighbors and friends for their assistance during the illness and death of our mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Montgomery. Also, to the singers and to Rev. Blackmar for his words of comfort. We thank you all. O.P. Risley and family Reedsburg Free Press, January 12, 1922 January 19, 1922 DIED Montgomery. An aged lady who has made her home with O.P. Risley at Lime Ridge, died Tuesday night after a year's illness of cancer. The funeral will be held Thursday at Lime Ridge. Reedsburg Free Press, Jan. 19, 1922 Mrs. Montgomery died at the home of her son, O.P. Risley, last Tuesday. Funeral Services were held at the house conducted by Rev. Blackmar. She was laid to rest beside her husband in the Lime Ridge cemetery.
