Note: Grace m. Ode Cox ,on 24 Dec. 1922. Three children: Ode Leonard (William Ode) (bill) John Franklin Charles Joseph Obit: Greenville News, 3 Sept. 1960, "Mrs. Ode Cox" Mrs. Grace Pauline Grant Cox, 56, of #8 Alice St., Woodville Hgts. died Friday at 1:30 a.m. at a local hospital after three months of illness. A daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Mattie Jacks Grant. She was born and reared near Clinton. For 35 years, she lived in Greenville and was formerly employed at Poinsett Mill and Union Bleachery. Mrs. Cox was a member of Westville Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Ode Cox, one son W.O. (Bill) Cox, of Greenville, two brothers, Dwight Grant of Spartanburg and Charlie Grant, of Rock Hill, two sisters, Mrs. Louise Morgan, of Lake Wales Fla. and Mrs. Ruth Cantrell, of Greenville, one half brother Fred Grant, of Greenville, two stepbrothers, Paul and Sam Knight, of Greenville, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home by the Rev. Joe Johnson and the Rev. Leon Chandler, Sunday afternoon at an hour to be announced. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jerr Smith, Roy Gillard, B.L.Roach, Johnny Lackey, B.B. Mardis, and Wade Bridges. The body will be taken to the home at 2 p.m. today.
