Note: One of Carries childhood friends was Reva Pruitt. They both loved dolls and played together. Reva was the sister to Arnold Pruitt who dated Aunt Mae before Mae left for Greensboro, NC to live with Lizzie and Mil. Carrie worked for a family in Kingsport as cook as one of her first jobs away from home. She moved to Baltimore, MD and worked for Glen L. Martin Aviation briefly. She then moved to Greensboro, NC and lived with her sister Natalie. From there she went to Mt. Pisgah Academy in Asheville, NC a Seventh-day Adventist school to fininsh high school where she met James Irvin Crabtree her future husband. She eventually married him and bought land and had a house built in Greensboro close to Natalie and Mae, while he was fighting WW II. She has owned the house since. Only recently has she given it to her daughter Ann but still lives there today 2/16/98.
