My father said he was a gunfighter and a gambler in South Dakota and that he had shot 6 men. Don't really know how true the story is but he was adamant that his father and grandfather (Henry Judson Hart) had told him.

My grandfather worked with his father making bricks in Washburn, N.D. A may 29th, 1903 issue of the �McLean County Miner� newspaper gave this report: �Edward Cross and his son, Will, our popular brick man, has made 70,000 bricks already this spring. He informs us that his output for the year will be over 400,000. Not a bad showing for Washburn.�
