a. Note:   Came to USA 1851, Port of Entry New York. Moved to Wisconsin 1856-1857. Lost farm to taxes in 1860; got it back in 1864.
  According to letter written his daughter Elizabeth to Ella Jones Fuller, Jakob had two brothers that he spoke of but he lost track of one of them after they came to the U.S. One lived in Schnectady, New York and lived to be an old man. He also had a daughter named Elizabeth who took care of him in his old age.
