Notes
a. Note:   Comments from Fred Ebenezer Crump, Sr. on Edmund. "Edmund (Edmond) is
said to have died as infant. However, there was an Edmund in Halifax co,
VA in 1754-1770, with Robert Crump, both living 'In the forks of the
Roanoke River'. This appears to be present day Montgomery Co, VA., and
could be one and same. This Edmund appears to be the one in Greene
County, TN, then to Sumner Co, TN where he died. Edmund left will in
Greene County, TN, in which his children were listed. William, who
married Phoeby Crews, is believed to be a son. See Sumner County TN
records. He may be 'Bastard' son of Agnes."

My comments: there was an Edmund/Edmond in Augusta VA in the 1754-1765 time frame. Augusta was in the the north central part of Virginia, and Rockingham was created from a part of it. It is from the Rockingham part that I think Edmund was in before relocating to TN after 1765. This is based on land deed and will records of Augusta/Rockingham during the period in which Edmund was mentioned numerous times. While Halifax was adjacent to Augusta during the period, it is pretty far removed from Rockingham. ELC 2/2002
