a. Note:   Samuel D. Crump was a Confederate Soldier with the 12th Louisiana Infant ry during the Civil War. He apparently served with his boother Willi am L. Crump in this unit. The 12th Infantry was known as teh "Farmers Rang ers" and reported to Camp Moore in July 1861. They were originally enroll ed as 12 month volunteers, but their terms were extended after that.
  A. B. Crump, who may have been a youngre brother served with another uni t, as mentioned in the Notes for him. Samuel D. Crump is buried at Beul ah Cemetery, Natchitoches Parish, LA, as was his wife.
