Note: It appears that Mary Lebo may have already had children when she married C harles. For example, Ann 14, Thomas g. 12, and James W. do not show up wi th C. L. in 1850. Also, it is unclear who was the mother of Mary 7, of t he 1860 Census, but she is being shwon as a daughter of Charles and cynthi a, since it is assumed thta Cynthia was still alive in 1853.
It should be noted that there was an early land record for a John Le bo in April 1843 for Sabine Parish. In 1850 Mary A. Lebo is enumerat ed in her own household in Sabine Parish with Children Catherine 16, Prest on 15, B. F. 9, Betty 5, and William 2. Mary was probably mother of Cather ine Lebo who married J. Bailey Butler November 9, 1851, in Sabine Parish.
At Marthaville Cemetery there is a Minniw Ida Lebo, widow of H. H. Lebo (J an 5, 1882 - Jun22, 1905, confirmint the spelling of the name Lebo, inste as of LeBeau which has sometimes been shown at the surname for this famil y. J. H. is likely related to Mary Ann Lebo.
