a. Note:   Raymond Francis Sullivan was born April 1, 1908 in Newport, Rhode Island. His parents are John J. Sullivan and Helen F. Wright.
  Raymond went to work at 12 years old in 1920 as a plumber. He also lit street lamps in Newport before the lamps were converted from gas to electricity. He also worked as a gardener on some of the large estates located in Newport. In later years he worked at the Newport Water Works for the City of Newport, Rhode Island and ran (illegal) card games on the side. In retirement he did odd jobs and remodeled his children's homes.
  Raymond married Eleanor Crenshaw Flowers in ???? in Newport, Rhode Island. They had 6 children; Henry, Raymond, Joanne, Gerald, Thomas, and Ellin.
  Raymond died August 24, 1990 in Newport, Rhode Island and is buried at St. Columba Cemetery in Newport.
