  Obituary: Wayne County News, Wednesday, February 28, 1996 Robert E. Walsh, 81 of Marianna, died Monday, February 5 at his home. / He was a native of Hattisburg, MS, a son of Joseph Emmet and Sarah Jane Dunn Walsh. He was a graduate of Collinwood High School, had been employed as an underground machine mechanic by Beth Energy Mines Cor in Marianna for more than 31 years before retiring. he was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy, as chief guner's mate, a member of the St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Sts, Mary and Ann Roman Catholic Church in Marianna, the American Legion Post 744 in Marianna and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47 in Uniontown. / Survivors include his wife, Loretta Frances Sims, one step-son, Gary McDonald of Bentleyville; one brother, Joseph E. Walsh of Houston, TX; one sister, Laura JAne Walrond of Rochelle, VA and two grandchildren.
