States Richard was living in Ohio Obituary of Richard Dixon:..RICHARD R. DIXON 64 died at 5am Sunday Dec 18 1988 in his home at 402 W. Wyandot Ave.
He was born in Chicago ,ILL on Nov 09, 1924 to John ans edith Strubing, his wife the former Anna Feske survives.
Also surviving are six children Ronald and Leo both in Illinois, Evelyn Adamopolius, Sandra Clifton, Laura Crews, and Catherine all in Tennessee; and John in Massachusettes; three Stepsons Dr. Thomas Thornton .,and Robert Thornton, both of upper Sandusky,; and James Thornton, Chebanse,ILL.25 grandchildren a brother Frank, of Holt, Michigan and a sister Bernice Allison Scottville, Michigan, Two brothers and Two sisters are deceased.
A truck driver , Mr Dixon was retired after 25 years with US steel. A World War II veteran he was a paratrooper in the US Marines ., serving in Guam, Hiroshima, and Midway, and in the Korean conflict. He was a former member of local teamsters 705.
A graveside service will be held at 10am. Wednesday in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours at Bringman and Company Funeral Home are 7-9 pm Tuesday.
