Note: Sara Ann Tabb April 8, 1942 - February 12, 2005 Mrs. Sara Ann Tabb, formerly Sammons, 62, of Albany, Georgia died, Saturday, February 12, 2005 at her home. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16 at Colquitt Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, at Colquitt Funeral Home with the Reverend Bernie Bannin officiating. Interment will follow at Gordon Cemetery. Mrs. Tabb was born on April 8, 1942. She was retired from the Albany Area Community Service Board and had worked previously at Easter Seals and Phoebe Putney Hospital. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Albany. She was devoted to her family, including Hannah, a Schnauzer mix that she adopted after finding her in poor health at the local animal shelter. She is survived by two daughters, Jerrianne Taaffe and her husband, Jerry, of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Denise Thompson and her husband, Allan, of Clarksville, Tennessee; one son, Eric Sheffield and his wife, Wendy, of Loganville, Georgia; four grandchildren, Stephanie Clark, Lindsey Clark, Logan Taaffe, and Levi Sheffield; two step-grandchildren Richard Thompson and William Thompson; one sister, Eloise Clearman and her husband, David, of Albany, Georgia; and her friend and former husband, Bob Tabb, of Colquitt, Georgia. Her parents, Yible and Zettie Sammons, preceded her in death.
