Note: William Leslie Widner COLQUITT � William Leslie Widner, 81, of Colquitt died Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Americus. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with interment in Colquitt City Cemetery. The Rev. David Aycock and the Rev. John Bagwell will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Steve Holt, Jack Holt, Wade Everson, Wayne Weeks, David Bracewell and Joe Sloan. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Colquitt Funeral Home. Born July 1, 1923, in Miller County, Mr. Widner was a farmer and a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Louvenia Widner of Colquitt; one daughter, Gail Thompson and son-in-law, Felix Lynwood of Blakely; three sons, Jerry Widner and daughter-in-law, Grace of Donalsonville, Broadus Widner of Juneau, Alaska, and Bobby Widner and daughter-in-law, Martha of Albany; one sister, Bessie Mercer of Forest Park; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Magnolia Manor Nursing Center, Attention: Debbie Lawhorn, 2001 S. Lee St., Americus, GA 31709 or United Hospice, 708 E. 16th Ave., Cordele, GA 31015.
