a. Note:   [Gordon.ged] Mrs. Beatrice W. Varnadoe, 83, of Colquitt passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2003, at Miller County Hospital. Mrs. Varnadoe was born June 13, 1920 in Miller County. She was a homemaker and a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, at Colquitt United Methodist Church with the Rev. Matt Stewart and the Rev. Tim Mock officiating. Interment followed at Gordon Cemetery. PallbearersVictor Sheffield, John Trawick II, Shane Rathel, Erik Varnadoe, Benjamin Trawick, Dusty Rathel and Alan Jenkins served as active pallbearers. Survivors include three daughters, June Sheffield, Ruth Trawick, both of Jackson, Sandy Rathel, Colquitt; three sons, Aaron W. �Bubber� Varnadoe, David Varnadoe, Ken Varnadoe, all of Colquitt; six sisters, Bill Chauncey, Albany, Ophelia Briones, Runell Dugan, Wilma Young, Colquitt, Geraldine Garner,Leesburg, Evelyn Best, Wolcottville, IN; two brothers, Henry Whitaker and Charles Whitaker, both of Colquitt; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Varnadoe in 1997 and one daughter, Jimmie M. Varnadoe.
  Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
