a. Note:   , 2005 at his residence. The visitation will be 7 to 9 pm Tuesday night at Colquitt Funeral Home. The funeral will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, March16, 2005 at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Talmadge Worsley and Rev. Boyd Evans officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors. Kent Richardson, Bobby Richardson Jr., Thad Richardson, Stephen Richardson, Tony Richardson, Garrett Richardson, Tyler Richardson, and his nephews will serve as pallbearers. The men of New Salem Free Will Baptist Church, the members of Gerald Grow Post #165 American Legion, and the past and present faculty & staff of the Miller County School System will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mr. Richardson was born March 30, 1945 in Early County. After graduating from Miller County High School in 1963, Mr. Richardson served in the Army from 1965-1967 and was wounded in combat in Vietnam. He was awarded the silver star for gallantry in action, bronze star for heroism in ground combat, and the purple heart for wounds received in action. He started teaching at Miller County High School in 1971 and was named assistant principal in 1980. He served as principal of Miller County High School from 1987 until retirement in 1999. He was also a member of the Miller Co. Retired Educators Ass., a member of the Gerald Grow Post #165 American Legion, and a member of New Salem Freewill Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher. Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Allie Mae M. Richardson of Colquitt; three daughters, Fran Fletcher & son-in-law Trae of West Green, Ga, Patti Lowe & son-in-law Buddy of Bainbridge, Ga, and Kimberly Johnson & son-in-law Ansley of Donalsonville, Ga; his parents, Emory and Louise Richardson of Colquitt; four brothers, Bobby Richardson & Gordon Richardson, both of Colquitt, Tommy Richardson of Panama City, Fl, and Phillip Richardson of Bainbridge, Ga; and one grandson, Blake Lowe of Bainbridge, Ga.
