Note: ELTON EUGENE GOODRUM Elton Eugene Goodrum, 66, of Thomasville, died Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 15, at Laurel Hill Cemetery with Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor, the Rev. A. Bob Dixon and the Rev. Waymon R. Cleveland officiating. Mr. Goodrum was born February 8, 1940, in Eua Gallie, FL. He was the son of the late Elton Shephard Goodrum and Dorothy Monger Goodrum. Mr. Goodrum owned Goodrum�s Floor Coverings and was most recently self-employed. He was a member of First United Methodist Church where he was a former secretary and treasurer for the Sunday School Department for 12 years. He graduated from Thomasville High School and attended Valdosta State College where he was president of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Survivors include his wife, Helen Goodrum; one daughter and son-in-law, Gena and Michael Matthews of Tallahassee, FL; and one son, Richard Goodrum of Atlanta.
