Note: [Gordon.ged] George Hilton Wood ALBANY � George Hilton Wood, 73, of Panama City Beach, Fla., formerly of Albany, died Sunday, July 14, 2002, at his residence. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hall & Hall Funeral Home in Albany with the Rev. Anthony Glover officiating. Interment will be at Floral Memory Gardens. There will be a memorial service held in Panama City Beach, Fla., at a later date. Mr. Wood was a native of Donalsonville, Ga., and grew up in Colquitt, Ga., and was a former resident of Albany. Mr. Wood served in the United States Air Force and was retired from Merck Chemical Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Putney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lizer Catrett Wood. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Windy Wood Molnar and Tim Molnar of Panama City Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jessie Slade Christmas, Aliza Marie Molnar, Jarrod Trey Molnar and Timothy Aaron Molnar. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. today.
