Note: Marvin M. Gordon CAMILLA � Marvin M. "Pete" Gordon, 85, of 9684 Morey Hill Road, Albany, died Monday, November 24, 2003, at his residence.
Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. today in Gordon Cemetery in Early County. The Rev. Bruce Gordon and the Rev. Chris Hall will officiate.
Born March 20, 1918, in Early County, Mr. Gordon was retired from Merck Chemical Co. and was a farmer. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Jessie Thomas Gordon and was married to the late Nannie Belle Catrett Gordon.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes T. Gordon of Albany; a daughter, Bobbie Odell Ivan and husband, Ernie of Virginia Beach, VA; two stepdaughters, Linda Sue Martin of Albany and Carolyn M. Thurman and husband, Huey of Baconton; a daughter-in-law, Christine Gordon of Thomasville; two sisters, Yonnie Meeks of Colquitt and Verna Hall and husband, Andy of Albany; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Cemetery c/o Security Bank, 162 Crawford St., Colquitt, GA 39837.
