Note: !Birth: Gale Family Records by George Gale, LL.D. 1866 pg 207 Genealogy of Thomas Lord by Kenneth Lord 1946 pg 272 Bapt at the First Church !Marriage: Gale Family !He disappeared !Azor Gale bought of Asa Spaulding the land & building descrobed inPerkins's "Old Houses of Norwich, CT" pg 280 as being occupied by Capt JosephGale, 22 Dec 1798, subject to a morgage: this place is numbered 107 in the mapof Norwich 1795, with page 168 of Old Houses, and is opposite the presententrance on East Town Street, of the old cemetery. 2 Jun 1803 Azor Galerelinqushes all rights he has in the property. This is the last records so far notedof him though the newspaper have not bee searched (Land Records, Norwich, CT.Vol 32 pg 293) Officer on the ship who had carge of selling the ship's cargo at its destination and buying goods to take back to the states. Would takecodfish from Boston and go to the West Indies and trade it for rum. Some timeabout 1800, he left on a voyage, and although the ship and his belongingsreturned, it was never known what happened to him, This information was told byWilliam Marshall Gale Great grandson to Azor.
