a. Continued:   Some compilers including this one have confused Ebenezer Hotchkiss, son of Samuel Hotckiss and Elizabeth Cleverly and Ebenezer Hotchkin. It is verly likely that Solomon and Asael were sons of Ebenzer Hotchkiss and Elizabeth Cleverly. EbenezerHotchkin and his wife Jerusha lived their entire lives in Guilford and were buried in the Guilford, Nut Plains Cemetery and his death date comes from his gravestone. The Guilford Vital Records, has an Ebenezer Hodgkin or Hodgkiss who died 23 November 1760. The Compiler has visited their graves and photographed the gravestones. Talcott claims another marriage to a Sarah (last name unknown); however, this is unlikely with Ebenezer and Jerusha being buried together. Ebenezer appears on a list of Freemen, dated 19 September 1749.
