a. Note:   There is a child listed in the Oneida County Births in 1847-1850 - (Internet list www.rootsweb.com/~nyoneida/births/births2.html) as GOODENOUGH, Anonymous, Male born 5/16/1849 to GOODENOUGH, William & Wife in New Hartford, Oneida County, NY.
  According to the 1880 U.S. Census, State of New York, Oneida County, Town of Vienna, Joseph GOODENOW, age 30, was a boarder at the home of James P. and Elizabeth JOHNSON, occupation laborer. This residence is listed immediately after the Benjamin Selden BROCKWAY family.
  There is no tombstone on Joseph's grave but when Paul BEALS and Gail CAMPBELL SCHULTE visited the Forest Hill Cemetery September 29, 1998, the grass on Joseph's grave was of a different type and length, marking the entire grave very clearly.
