Note: Luther was 3/4 Cherokee Indian. His father stayed on the reservation in North Carolina. This was my father. I loved him deeply. He was a kind man and had many friends. He had dark skin, very leather like. He did not have a gray hair in his head. He could have had a successful business, but he did not have a business mind. He did a lot of work for the movie stars that lived in River Oakes, an elite part of Houston. He loved to fish. When I was a little girl, I remember going to the Brazos river to fish and to the coast in Galveston to catch crabs. We did a lot of visiting with family, for which I am grateful. It now gives me an insight into what kind of person he was and also what kind of life he lived.
