a. Note:   ource for LJ and Millie OBITUARY: 15 Jul 1952 / Lorenzo J. Ward, 57, prominent Coltman farmer and chairman of Bonneville county's Production Marketing Administation, died suddenly Tuesday morning at a local hospital following a heart attack. Mr. Ward entered the hospital for a routine check up. He was an active member in the LDS church and was active in civic affairs. He was born Aug 12, 1894, at Iona and received his schooling at Iona and at Rexburg. He filled a mission for the LDS church in the northern states from 1916-1918. He married Amelia Randall, June 11, 1919 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. They moved to Coltman in the spring of 1924. He served as counselor in the Coltman ward bishopric for two terms under Bishops Arthur Hudman and Jacob Judd. He was a teacher i Sunday school, an adviser to the deacon's quorum and held various other teaching positions nearly all his life. He was a high priest at the time of his death. He was proud of the fact that his wife and all his children had filled missions in the LDS church. He was chairman of the Bonneville county AAA committee for several years during World War II and chairman of the Bonneville county PMA committee for the past two years. He was seriously injured in a potato cellar accident in 1931 in which his back and ribs were broken. He had been in a semi paralyzed condition since that time. He was known for his good horsemanship. He is survived by his widow, two sons, Max and Wayne Ward, Coltman; and a daughter, Bonnie Rae Ward, who is on a mission to the western states. Two granddaughters, Edith and Janet Ward of Coltman and sisters, Mrs. Henry Haderly; Mrs. Austin Scoresby, and Deloy Christiansen, all of Iona and brothers, George J. Ward, Coltman; Wilford Ward, Idaho Falls; James Ward, Nampa and Delbert Ward of Burbank, Calif. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm at the Coltman LDS church . . . Wood Funeral home until Friday morning when it will be taken to the family home until time of services.
