Note: NI5 RESEARCH NOTES: Sarah's birth is recorded in the Andover, Maine, Record of Births and Deaths. She appears in records of John Sweat's family. No record of her marriage to Jonathan has been found, but it must have been during the Nauvoo period. The Mormons were forced to leave the city early in 1846. Did Jonathan and Sarah leave before or after their first daughter was born in April? After living for a time in wagons, it was determined that Mt Pisgah would be a temporary settlement and many small log cabins were built. Sarah's second daughter was born there. In the same month Sarah died and then the baby died. Sarah died at the age of 31 about 8 months after her mother's death.
