Notes
a. Note:   RESEARCH NOTES: William was born in Utah and was still quite young when his parents returned to Iowa. William married Annis Marie Young and most of their children were born in Nebraska. Then they moved to South Dakota where land had been opened to homesteading. Their last two children were born there, in a sod house. When the last child was born, both mother and child died. William raised the children alone and then began moving around the country, living primarily in Missouri and Texas. He died in a TB sanitarium in Kerrville, Texas and is buried by his wife and baby in Bonesteele, South Dakota.
