Note:   According to the Virginia Births Index, Susan was born on September 5, 1865 in Loudoun, Virginia to James H. and Mary E. Muse.
  According to the 1900 Federal Census, Susan was born in Virginia in February 1865. She was 35 years old, had been married 15 years, had three children, all of them alive in 1900. Her parents were born in Virginia. She had no occupation, and could read, write, and speak English.
  According to the 1910 Federal Census, Susan lives with her husband James and three of their children. She is listed as having had 5 children, 4 of whom are alive.
