William Hicklin, b. ca. 1734 Chester Co., Pa., in SC by 1765, m. Sarah Isbell (b. 1748) of Fairfield Co. SC. Their eldest daughter, Mary Susan Hicklin, b. ca. 1769, married Edmund Musco Raines, b. ca. 1764 in Essex Co, Va. They had three sons I know of: Frederick Raines, William Greene Raines and Littleton Raines. Edmund and Mary removed to Morgan Co., Ga., where they died -she in 1801 and he in 1836.

(she died (1801) Morgan Co., GA.), "daughter of William Hicklin and Sarah Isbell of Lancaster Co., SC. Raines won land, 10th District of Union Co., GA.; enrolled as a Revolutionary Veteran." Children of Edmund Musco(e) and Mary Raines:
1. Frederick Raines III b. 1795 Lancaster Co., SC (m. Catharine Elizabeth Boulware in Randolph Co., GA.; d. 1856) apparently m. 2nd Mary Jane Arnold.
