Note: 1900 US Census shows George Jr. as single and living at House # between 46 and 56 on South Mechanic St. in Cumberland. It also lists an adopted son Raymond living there. He is 22 yrs old and a plasterer by trade. Born in 1877 in Maryland. His stone was found in Rose Hill cemetery by Jack Reid showing his birth and death dates. The census also shows a cousin by the name of Thomas Hays, a carpenter, living with the Reids.
George was killed by an accident on the B&O RR and he willed all of his possessions to Louisa Berkley his sister including the real estate which was the house they lived in.
