 was constantly with her until her Father re-married when she was about eight years old. "Aunty", as she called Mrs Pickens, and her father steeped her ln the love of the Anderson family, which had shown signs of leadership from the time the first members arrived in the colonies from Ireland.
  Her Father, Edmund Anderson, a Presbyterian minister and grandson of General Robert Anderson, of Revelutionary fame.
