Note: Bertie Erlanger, was the fourth child born to Amelia and Max Erlanger. She was born on February 7, 1873 in Silver Run, Maryland where Max was the Postmaster. They returned the following year to Baltimore where she resided the rest of her life. In 1894 she lived for a time with her mother on Monument Street and on North Washington Street until her mother Amelia died in 1895, when Bertie was 22 years old. We will assume that Bertie went to live with her sister Rose who was 25 and married. Bertie, age 34, married Martin Felsenberg age 26, a clothing cutter, on January 3, 1907 in Baltimore, by H.W. Schunberger. They lived at 2018 McKean Street where their only child Amelia was born on October 7, 1907. They where married only a brief time when Martin left the family and moved with his sister and mother to Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1915 Bertie and Amelia resided at 2535 McCulloh Street. In the 1920 census we find Bertie and Amelia have moved across McCulloh Street to 2538. They live in the same home as The Solomon Kaufman family, his wife and 3 children. Bertie was working as a salesperson in a local department store and Amelia was going to school. Bertie died on January 16, 1929 in Baltimore. Notes According to Rose Lu Dewint: My granmother was short not fat but not as slender as her daughter Amelia. Her hair was of a light brown color. This was about 1927.
