a. Note:   Not much is known about Elizabeth's ancesters other than she was the daughter of John Slocum and Catherine Darby who both died within weeks of each other when Elizabeth was a young child. She had two siblings, Anna Lou and Lonnie and all three were raised in foster homes following their parents deaths.
