Was working at the Reid farm and saw Whitelaw Reid bid his mother goodbye to join the editorial staff of the New York Tribune. !BIOGRAPHICAL: Purchased a burial plot at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia, Ohio. Plot - P-Lot 5 Persons buried there are: John Jolly, Martha Jolly, John W. Strain (Infant), Frank L. Strain (17 Years), Elizabeth Jane (2 Yrs), and Ella Wike (7 Years. William's wife was buried in a Wike plot in Woodland Cemetery.
