a. Note:   e hundred yards from the cabin to get water. The Indian was hiding in the bushes, she out ran him to the cabin. He said that he could out run most white men but that woman beat him easy. Grandmother was short chunky woman. Grandfather was a large man, broad shouldered, 6- foot- tall.
  Note: Jerome Wiltsee Sr. "A Memoir of Philip Maton Wilsie and His Descendants" (Atchinson, Kansas, 1908) is a statement that Thomas Wilsie and wife, Elizabeth Carey moved from New York to Pownal, Vermont, circa 1782. They had a dau. Hannah, b. 1772, but according to this history, she married Joseph Osborn, had children and grandchildren.
  Note: Hannah was supposedly daughter of Thomas Cornell Wiltsie & Elizabeth Cary. If she was, then she was only 14 when married & 16 when first child was born. Possible but?? Or was she born in 1767 as some report? If so, then who were her parents?
