Note: Obituary...Ben Edwin Epperson, 70 R.R.1, Byron, Illinois, died at 2:45 P. M. Friday, March 27, 1970, in Rockford Memorial Hospital,after a long illn ess. Born March 18,1900 in Maysville, Arkansas, son of Mr and Mrs. Mart in Epperson. Lived 48 years in Rockford, coming here from Maysville, Arka nsas. Married to the former Goldie Pierce in Arkansas in 1922. Employ ed by Elco Tool Co. until his retirement in 1954. Survivors include: thr ee daughter, Mrs Willard (Lucille) Swanson, Mrs. Niles (Maxine) Granber g, and Mrs. Karl (Carol) Swanborg, all of Byron; one son, Harold, Loves Pa rk, Illinois, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothe rs, Lee and Dewey, both of Rockford; and one sister, Mrs George (Bessie) Z ell, Rockford. His wife preceded him in death in 1944. Services at 1;30 P.M. Tuesday in Julian-Poorman Funeral Home, 3 04 N. 5th St. with Reb Melvin G. Swanson, pastor of Berean Baptist Taberna cle officiating.
