Note: FIRST CHARLES Thomas and Esther Heyes had two children named Charles. The first was
born in February 1854, and died in June 1854.
BIRTH
According to the baptismal record for St. Thomas Church, Ashton in
Makerfield, page 120, no. 958:
1. Charles Heyes was born on May 31, 1865, and baptized April 1, 1866.
2. At the time of the baptism, Thomas Heyes was working as a collier.
3. The church register spells the family name as Hayes.
4. He was the the 7th child and 5th son of Thomas and Esther Heyes.
5. At the time of baptism, Thomas and Esther lived in the Florida area
of Haydock, in the parish of St. James. They chose to have him baptized
at St. Thomas.
DEATH
Death date needs to be confirmed. It was taken from LDS baptisms of the
dead. This information is not always accurate.
