Note: Norman worked in Berne, Indiana for Farm Bureau and later for New York Life Insurance Co. for short period of time. In the summer of 1941, because of the great depression, he went to Dayton, Ohio to attend a trades school, owned and operated by Howard Michael,who was an uncle of Ardilla Winteregg. After training, he found employment with G.M. in Dayton, Ohio. With the start of WWII on Dec 7, 1941, he moved his family to Englewood, Ohio in March of 1942. He remained in the Dayton area for the remainder of his life.
