Note: Ruth Brewster, 97, of Wolcottville, and a former native and resident of Berne and Fort Wayne died at 10:55 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at her daughter�s home in Wolcottville. She was born on September 9, 1911, in Adams County, to Joseph D. and Caroline (Sprunger) Winteregg. She was married on May 1, 1936 to Joseph Brewster. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church. She was a homemaker and former employee of the Berne Park Motel. She was also a member of the Berne Mother�s Club and a member of the Fort Wayne Newcomer Bridge Club. She is survived by one daughter, Gail (Larry) Simon of Wolcottville; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1986; one daughter, Jane Stucky; two brothers; and three sisters. Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday August 22 at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home. Service is at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 23 at the funeral home. Officiating is Rev. Kenneth L. Weaver.
