!BAP: Some FGS list his baptism date as 1 Jul 1866, but he was not 8 years old yet on that date. Also I have found no original source for a complete date in 1866. Ancestral File had baptism as 8 Aug 1875. (Later note by Arlene Miller: The date of 1 Jul 1866 is found in the family bible of Golden Hill, so the date of 8 Aug 1875 is a re-baptism date.)

!HISTORY: Franklin Ward Records, FHL Film No. 007454, Annual Report indicates
that Joseph John left for a mission to California on 7 Feb 1906, and that he
died 2 Jan 1941, occupation City Clerk. Ogden First Ward Records, baptisms to 1893, said J.J. Hill baptized George Earl Porter on 20 Jul 1893. Also, a
certificate of recommendation was received for J.J. Hill on 18 Jun 1882 from
Salt Lake City 19th Ward. Another certificate for him was received 20 Mar 1892 from West Weber Utah, and indicated that he moved to Franklin. His obituary indicates that at his death he was a High Priest in the Franklin stake, a town clerk of Franklin and had served on a mission. When he died, he had 12 sons and daughters, 43 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
