a. Note:   Her obit says she was 14 when she came to St Louis. Possibly arrived in America between 1846 & 1848. With her father, John Grace, & siblings.
  Per 1850 census, she couldn't read & apparently never learned to write, as she signed her Petition of Administration on January 15 1898 with an "x".
  From Saline Co INDEX: Mrs Anne (sic) Langan Monday December 27 1904 at home about 7 miles south of Marshall. She was 71 years old. Born Ross (sic) (s/b Rossmore or New Ross), Wexford Co, Ireland; moved to St Louis when 14. Married January 26 1851 (sic) to Thomas Langan. She was mother of WIlliam, Laura, John, Thomas, Maggie, James, George, Jerome & Anna. Funeral is at 2 pm Wednesday.
  From Saline Co WEEKLY CITIZEN: Anne (sic) Langan died on Monday December 27 1904. She lived in St Louis 15 years before moving to Saline Co where she lived 50 years." Note: copied verbatim. Dates don't compute. She couldn't have lived in Saline Co 50 years, as she & Thomas didn't move there until late 1861 or early 1862 -- proof: WIlliam, b 1855, St Louis; Laura, b 1860, St Louis; John Patrick, b March 1862, Miami Twp, Saline Co Mo. And her year of death would have been 1912.
