a. Note:   Obituary appearing in the May 25, 2007 Morgantown, West Virginia Dominion Post newspaper: James Wendell Eisentrout, 91, of Bruceton Mills, W. Va., died Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va. The son of the late John William and Martha Helen Nedrow Eisentrout, he was born Nov. 29, 1915, in Listonburg, Pa. Wendell was active in the Hazelton Church of the Brethren. He was a retired coal miner and dairy farmer. He is survived by three sons and spouses, C. Edward and Glenna Eisentrout, of Bruceton Mills, John L. and Connie Eisentrout, of Oakland, Md., and Samuel W. and Marie Eisentrout of Beaverdam, Va.; a daughter and spouse, Katherine and Bruce H. Friend, of Umatilla, Fla.; three brothers, Clarence Eisentrout of Morgantown, John William Eisentrout of Morgantown, and Edward Eisentrout of Kingwood; three sisters, Edna Sebold of McHenry, Md., Helen Emogene Fisher of Pittsburgh and Virginia Boone of Morgantown; a brother-in-law, Charles R. Friend of Bruceton Mills; a special friend Cora Thomas, of Camden, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 22 g reat-grandchildren. Wendell was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Catherine "Kate" VanSickle Eisentrout, on April 21, 1988, and two sisters, Erma Jean Eisentrout and Martha Friend. Friends may call at Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. The body will be moved to the Hazelton Church of the Brethren, Hazelton, for visitation from 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, until the 11a.m. service with Pastor Barry M. Adkins officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery, Bruceton Mills.
