a. Note:   James H. Ponder moved with his family to Oglethorp Co., GA before 1800. He owned land in this county and was a farmer in the Cloud Creek area. Some of his family were members of Cloud Creek Church, About 1827-28 he sold his land and moved to Pike Co., AL and lived there until 1839. This family was in Union Co., AR in 1840. Ouachita Co., AR was formed from Union Co. in 1842 and James H. was in Camden, Arkansas and was it's first practicing physicians. He was one of the incorporators of the city of Camden. He and his wife are buried in the Oakland Cemetery in Camden.
